Blood of the Earth

The blood of the earth is thick and it's black. It flows through veins straight up through a crack. A hole in the surface punctures her back. She aches and she groans. She spews and she spits Liquid gold heated in pits. Red hot heat oozes out of her mouth, Exploding and revealing the inside of herself. Take her seriously whenever she cries. Don't want to be here if she ever dies. Deep down in her heart she feels the strain Of those who take her life's blood in vain. A victim of greed is our mother, the Earth. We consume her gifts and bleed her dry, Burning her blood 'til there is no more sky. By: Carole O'Terry Duet Copyright: 2007 "All Rights Reserved"
