Bliss in permanence
In joy we jive, since we’re alive
but happiness soon yields to pain,
so we cling to concepts of God,
that our heart may receive solace
but where lies bliss in permanence,
entwined with light of Self within?
We begin going in within,
feeling in-form nodes go alive,
resolve held firm in permanence,
stoic in both joy and in pain,
biding our time for that solace,
said to be found at feet of God.
Scriptures affirm that love is God
and is not out there but within,
with silence ushering solace,
that soul begins to feel alive,
overcoming the fear of pain,
getting to peace in permanence.
Light that lights us in permanence,
must be the very breath of God,
nurturing us when we feel pain
but how may we find Him within,
for inner sight is not alive,
so remains denied heart’s solace.
How does vast space retain solace,
tranquil always in permanence
and although it seems not alive,
perhaps what we see not is God,
present both outside and within,
standing aloof from joy and pain?
Taking a cue, we look at pain,
in witness mode that brings solace
and find the universe within,
as living light in permanence,
whence ego dies and all is God,
the source that keeps us all alive.
Body alive feels joy and pain
but when merged with God finds solace,
bliss in permanence found within.
