Blessings

Her teeth are false, her hair, a wig
Not sure about…., but they are big
Her eyes are real, save for the lash
I wonder what has made that crash

It’s probably those fingernails
Guess that’s your fate when concrete fails
I’d rather not know any more
                   Illusion’s better, that’s for sure

For smoke and mirrors have their fee
On top of that new hip and knee
When missing parts are on display
Well, save that for another day

When we get home on Friday nights
I always run to dim the lights
For in the dark where I can’t see
A blessing that sure is for me

Almost a Halloween piece Mike. Such sad dreary features that would scare the bravest of men lol. Keep the lights out we do not want to turn them on my friend. Thanks for the thought I will be thinking of her before I go to sleep thanks alot, lol...

Oh my Mike what a vision you have created imagine coming across this person in the dark my friend, no wonder on Friday nights you run to dim the lights, she must be a formidable sight, a sure blessing when in the dark you cannot see. I laughed aloud, a very humorous write my friend, loved it! Hugs and blessings, Jennifer.

We live in a world where everything is artificial and fake. Body parts also can be fitted to enhance appearance. Yours is a poem full of truth with slight exaggerations . That adds to the comic effect. Really enjoyed your poem, dear Mike.

When you count her blessings, do you need a calculator or a supercomputer?!

Fun poem, Mike. How true it is. But it's all blessings because we are still here. :-) Thanks for sharing your poetry with us, my friend. Bill

Hysterical.Mike and poetically , total fun. I am aware that for me..this is not recent in fashion. Meaning, I honestly don’t think women care about what they look like anymore. It’s kind of sad. They think jeans and sketchers is all there is. No matter what I think, your write is delicious fun..Pangie And lack of make up is in. So is being overweight.

Pangie, if my little ditty brought even the slightest smile to you, then I am so happy!! Nobody, man or woman seems to dress up anymore, I miss it!! Thank you for reading and commenting xxx
