Blessed

Blessings not earnings I have nothing I deserve When I start feeling proud I am thrown a curve I should be thankful To heaven hands raised Instead I take credit When He should be praised So what I've been given Goes to someone new I finally figure it out I learn what is true Once I am humbled His blessings return They are God's gift Not a wage I earn

So lovely Richard :-) Your words are so true and wonderfully expressed. At a young age my dad taught me, when I give something to someone, it is no longer mine, it's theirs to do with as the wish. He also said if you lend money, have no expectations to get it back, if you are paid back, then its a gift. I have used the 'no expectations' in all areas of life. It lessens disappointment. I will always be a 'work in progress':-) I am moved by the humble feel of your words. Excellent :-) lynnxxx

This is beautiful and nicely crafted. Thanks for the share... Sometimes its refreshing visiting old poems of soupers... Its amazing, the freshness which comes from doing this... And that is exactly my enjoyment visiting this piece

True that! I live, never expecting anything, so when I am given something it means more. But to expect it and not receive it causes depression and hurt, and I don't really like those emotions. Be thankful for the gifts :)
