Guilty of Silent Complicity
From the shallow ruins of Man's soul
to the blindness of hearts that we sold
to the flightless voices without a goal
tears we don't shed, a world dark and cold.
Is our sorrowed silence waiting
have we placed our hearts on hold
Are our fickle thoughts worth berating
Time to take our hearts in from the cold?
We have no dignity left to lose
we lost it with Man's silence
every battle we did not choose
made the world guilty of compliance.
Are we done with the battles we never fought
bedded down in our beloved legoland
building empires out of speeches that end in nought
or was our ruin just carefully staged, well planned?
Plasticine politicians toothless from decay
molded by greed, feeding eyes until they are blurred
go follow in their footsteps , I will not walk your way
I cannot live in silence my voice it shall be heard.
