Enjoyed this blast from the past! I almost went there with a friend once... in another lifetime. It's actually good we didn't go, as I was young and impulsive (& we probably would've come back married- which would've been a mistake). But this poem makes me wish I'd seen Vegas years ago, as I'd probably be disappointed now!

The architecture is magnificent and worth going for that reason alone, Rhona. But don't go in January, it is too cold!

I was so angry when they got rid of the Dunes, but I also love the Sahara and Vegas. You have done Las Vegas justice Line.

Sadly you would not recognize the Sahara, Caren. The exterior was so exotic and majestic in the day... now it's surprisingly plain. Hard to believe.
