Blase' Life

I wake up each day without purpose. I am neither here nor there. I can't cry anymore, I can't smile anymore. I have a blank stare and my demeanor is blase'. A big mase of skin and bones with no direction. My dreams of a better existence has become a series of nightmares.

Dear alexis, this is such a sincere and poignant write, on how you feel within, when darkness envelopes your mind and soul, i think there are many that go through these challenges and to be able to express them in a seamless manner with no ambiguity is a brave and strong thing to do. I felt the depth of this poem, and im here sending you light. Congratulations on receiving also potd. Amazing how our deepest emotions sometimes get awarded when expressed.

Hi Everyone, I want to thank you all for stopping by to congratulate me for getting the p.o.t.d. I appreciate your concerns as well. I don't suffer from depression but I have close family members that do. I am in funk right now but I will be alright with time. In this life you will have good and bad days, it's unrealistic to think every day you will be happy. However attitude is everything and I'm optimistic this will pass. Alexis I am SO SO proud of you for posting this poem, so many folk suffer depression in silence, good for you for expressing your feelings so eloquently. Let's hope brighter days are ahead and many congrats on POTD. I am lucky I don't suffer from depression but I know many that do, hence the reason I try and make folk smile with my silly poems!
