Blacky - 2000-2012
BLACKY - 2000-2012
just a big black cat
but a wonderful black cat
diagnosed cancer
did i weep for our blacky?
yes and i wept for myself
he was family
ate at table just like us
cheered our early morn
greeted visitors at door
asked no favor in return
patient as a saint
he’ll wait at some pearly gate
while they estimate
and when his name does sound
will bright angels gather round
