Blacky - 2000-2012

BLACKY - 2000-2012 just a big black cat but a wonderful black cat diagnosed cancer did i weep for our blacky? yes and i wept for myself he was family ate at table just like us cheered our early morn greeted visitors at door asked no favor in return patient as a saint he’ll wait at some pearly gate while they estimate and when his name does sound will bright angels gather round

Very good poem. Sad... :( My cat Pentecost died of cancer.... When my dad was a child, he had a cat named Blacky. He followed him to elementary school one day and he never saw him again. Always, Laura

So sorry Daver. I know that hurts like hell. We just lost one too. Casper ..also to cancer. She was just a young un about 6. My condolences. love Bob

Oh shucks, I am so sorry to read about Blacky-- he seemed like such a wonderful and loving cat-- you were both so blessed to be in each others' lives... very touching tribute to a special cat who's part of your family...hugs to you Daver!

oh so sorry for this loss of a precious pet daver.. I lost my cat Bronco last year.. haveone left Gabriel and my puppy Venus.. a White Westie.. they are as loving as family members can be... their loss is always difficult to adjust to luv.. there is a website u can pray for deceased pets .. sorry cannot recall letters but google search it.. we send our sympathies..my friend..

Some folks do believe their pets will be with them in heaven. A very touching poem, Daver, and I'm so sorry you lost Blacky. Recovering from such a loss is challenging. I hope you find another pet that gives you joy for many ears to come. Thank you for reading my poems, Daver. My illness is interrupting my concentration so writing is quite difficult. I love this one for Blacky. He did not live so long, did he? Do your housecats usually live short time or long, Daver? All ours have lived a long time because they never leave the house. Did he die just very recently? Sorry to hear about that!

Daver, our pets become us, and we become them. Although separated from my family now, I still miss our Dog, Digger. He's a Golden Cocker Spaniel. No matter how much a bad day you have, you get the same welcome. Us humans can't honour such trust as that. Thank you kindly, always for your kind comments, James :) :)
