Black Snake Squirmed Out of My Head

Black Snake Squirmed Out Of My Head I wrote two poems, one up one down third one ran away never to be found Clever words from a simple old mind perfect poem, I shall never find Writing now to settle my sad blues can't dance , have no damn shoes No union means no damn union dues saw the reruns but it was old news Clever, sometimes clever as a fox play a mean fiddle and old jukebox Sanity is my only sought after fee mind a rusty 'ole box, I have no key Words they come on fast and low Found paradise, too damn lazy to go Wrote two short poems this very day found my heart had so little to say Black snake squirmed out of my head landed right there on my antique bed Gave me a vicious look, go to hell I shot back, you I can easily sell Grabbed the critter by its long tail put it in a box sent it in the mail Note to my editor said, here is a treat reach in quick, grab something sweet If only that damn third poem was found can not see it but can hear the sound Little screams echoing across the room caution ahead, enter to find your doom Robert J.
