Black Puma

Ebony lies in a tree, waiting in dead silence. Green eyes missing nothing, ears at the ready Her cubs are hungry, and she is serious. A rustle in the grass, yet she does not move. Two unsuspecting hyenas; not terribly tasty but better than nothing. She waits for the perfect time to make the kill leap Knowing it is her one chance. She is a great mom. She will be bring meat home tonight. As she lies waiting an injured gazelle comes into the clearing. Gazelles are fast, but not this one. It has an injured flank. Ebony smiles. With any luck they will have dinner and lunch.

Yes! Pumas are known for skipping breakfast. That's how they stay so slim. Hey, they save money too! Smiles, Gershon

They are so much fun to look at from a distance.

A good mother. She will do anything for her cubs.... I think of my mother...and how she never gave up on me when many others thought the world would be a lot better if I was quickly put under the earth. There is such depth in your writing. As much said beneath the surface, perhaps even more, than what is obviously stated. Amazing writing!
