Bittersweet

Joy is the name I'm giving you today. A bittersweet event unfolds. The pieces that broke you apart make me whole. And I smile, though I see the blood on his hands from when he murdered the trust between you. I understand, though you will never know and I am doubtful you ever will. There is blood on my hands too, from the smile I wear in your misery. I conceal the knife with honey coated words to heal your broken parts. But a fruitless effort it is, for I've taken your pieces to fix mine.
