Melancholy, a storyteller, a poet, a painter, photographer; like finding words to express me, doing sketches, and paintings, have ideas about displaying my art, creating a nature journal, my garden. Sometimes, I feel lonely and lost, oh will these seedlings ever grow, I fear death, decay of my life treasures, my pets health; would like to find acceptance of the past, present and future, resident of this wonderful place we call Earth. I remember this contest and I remember - vaguely - your first write like this. I remember that I did not respond as I am to this version of 'you'. From what little I know via exchanges and impressions, this poem IS you, word by word, line by line as often revealed in your poetry. Of course, there's more, we all have more but this one nails the essential, public view of you, in my view, if you will! Poetry hugs ... CayCay

CayCay, thanks so much for the comment, appreciate a lot, of course there is much more to me than can be put in 9 lines, I would need to write a book of my life. I did this poem because I am actually going to do another contest on this form. Hope you will consider entering_Constance

Sam, thanks for visiting, I once heard that poets must suffer to be good and I believe that totally, when I am sad well that is when I write my best poems, and I bet that is true of many of us on PS, I try to use all my scars and sorrow in my poetry _Constance
