Striking words on a PAGE is not all of me.
I am VAL.
All opinions APPRECIATED.
I'M about more than mere words of INK on a PAGE,
Smudged mistakes and common WAGE.
COMPASSIONATE CARES lend a sympathetic ear.
They are all part of me.
Yes THERE with POISE, EXCELLENT COMPOSURE.
LOOK I have no yearning for SYMPATHY from others.
By all means I'm EMPATHETIC. A SINCERE INDIVIDUAL.
A being FAR, FAR from perfect. A student of POETIC
VERSE. By your way, where is the perfect nest?
Now I MUST confess, I KNOW nothing of PERFECTION,
NO PERFECTNESS.
DO NOT misunderstand, I will at times prefer a recital
Of my own POETRY, A reflection of SELF: my own
Intellect. My obsessions, my words...RAIN...pouring
RAIN, a tree with music pouring from its leaves.
With poetry anything is possible. Including GOLDEN
LILY PADS and HARPS that play the MOST GENTLE
tunes. THERE IS my POETIC verse. That IS A WORTHY
PURSE. Yes I put great effort toward PERFECTNESS
and still I fail to attain perfection.
I need to ASK again. Where is that PERFECT NEST?
Where is that SUPREME POEM, lacking nothing.
