BEYOND THE VALLEY
Verse 1:
I walked through mist where shadows used to hide,
A place where sorrow lived and hope had died.
But something changed beneath the raven’s call—
A light that broke the silence over all.
Pre-Chorus:
No more the weight of all those bitter chains,
The valley burned away my doubts and pain.
Chorus:
Beyond the valley, where the darkness fades,
The sins we carried finally break away.
Fear no longer holds us, we’re coming alive—
Out of the valley, we learn how to fly.
Verse 2:
The night was long, but morning found its way,
And all the ghosts that haunted could not stay.
What died down there was not our soul, but shame—
A brand-new start, a life that won’t be the same.
Pre-Chorus:
With every step, the past is left behind,
And in the ashes, freedom’s what I find.
Chorus:
Beyond the valley, where the darkness fades,
The sins we carried finally break away.
Fear no longer holds us, we’re coming alive—
Out of the valley, we learn how to fly.
Bridge:
Bring me your burdens, bring your fears and pain,
We’ll lay them down, and never take them back again.
This journey’s hard, but it will set you free—
A final breath, a new reality.
Chorus:
Beyond the valley, where the darkness fades,
The sins we carried finally break away.
Fear no longer holds us, we’re coming alive—
Out of the valley, we learn how to fly.
Outro:
Out of the valley, we learn how to fly,
Out of the valley, we spread our wings and rise.
This is a sequel to Iron Maiden’s “Shadows Of The Valley” - A positive, poetic response that acknowledges the original’s darkness and struggle but transforms the "valley of death" into a place of cleansing, release, and rebirth — where sin and burden die, and freedom is gained by journeying through it:
