Albert Anker: "Girl With Cat"- Oil 1881

“Such simple things in life can make it full and rife.”
_by Poet
The rusty gate was somehow left ajar; behind, there lay a field of golden wheat. Beside it, a dirt road- and not too far, a log-house jewel made the scene complete. I tiptoed close and heard her mutter sweet; in shadow, girl with kitten caught my eye- there rocking him to her soft lullaby.

How you have blessed the world with decades of beautiful poetry! Ever tender, true and giving has, and does, your pen beautifully draw images and engage feel, even when simply writing for a contest. This write of polished, poetic design is quite a gem ... CayCay
