The Midway section of this piece is a post-millennial transliteration of Laotse's "Beyond Honor and Disgrace" which can be found in Lin Yutang's "The Wisdom of Laotse", p. 257, Modern Library, 1948.

Alpha

To live beyond death
we must know life beyond honor and disgrace.

Not "must" in the injunctive sense of "thou shalt"
but Earth's more dusty must
of ecological integrity.

Midway

Those who know do not speak
beyond active listening communion.
Those who speak,
without first listening,
do not know
to whom they speak.

Fill up knowing's silent apertures,
Open logic's closed linguistic doors,
Silent awareness
arousing smooth-structured double-boundaries,
climaxing edges

Untie double-knotted tangles
not not caring

Soften comprehensive consciousness
to radiate co-empathic beauty light--
Co-arising eradicated mysteries
bright.

Then loving honor
and hating disgrace
cannot change outside our inside selves

Profit and loss cannot overwhelm
Beauty loving EarthTribe.

Honor and disgrace cannot effect
and affect
and defect Us.

Therefore
we co-mediate empowering communication.

Omega

How do permacultural farmers respond to bad environmental karma
arcing back across all four seasons
inviting devolution's sometimes too personal demise
of crops, nutrients, healthy wealth of resources,
seeds of Beauty's love?

Why do darkness and death stalk,
shadow us,
cast dusky gloom across climate's future expectations,
declaring alien-nation
too Anthrocentric for Earth's eternal repurposing
of rationally co-redeeming praxis?

What can we do,
how can we respond to competitive compulsions
advancing in our ego hearts,
private minds,
personal body-enculturation
seeding
and weeding our language?

Nutritional inflow and outflow streams
intentionally co-optimize economic communion,
willful systems of eccentric Win-Lose ecologies,
consuming limited survival
distinct from infinite thrival,
decomposing
without active regenerative response,
ignoring peaceful resonance
of co-arising silent intelligence.

Monocultural intentions and pretensions
seek total exponential supremacy
withour our self v other marginalizing boundary

Where
and when
and why polycultural therapy
seeks deep listening integrity
restoring mutual mediating relationships--
between mind and bodies,
between yintegral spirit and yang nature,
between right-inductive and left-deductive hemispheres,
between physical-human Self
and metaphysical-sacred synergizing Me/We.

Infamy's monopolistic economic assumptions,
like monocultural ecological identity,
more fruitfully and forcefully revolutioned
as polycultural challenges
to re-ligion resonant balance

Harmonic frequencies of dipolar revolutions
reconnecting dissonant decay with confluent cay,
disformation with information
where we have already become
polyculturally found outside silos of over-specialized blind alleys,
with what remains of inductive integrity's co-empathic potential

To live beyond death
we must open listening life
as ecological
glistening integrity.
