Betrayed Soul

He did not sit on the wall, but he had a great fall. He would have been happiest had he misled them all. Good at rebelling, but ever so bad was twisted Lucifer. His eyes were somehow blinded, and his soul doomed to suffer. We, like Judas, clearly know that we are both befriended and loved. We need not be as the lost thief who did not seek refuse from his selfish soul. We, as the seeking thief on the cross, in a moment, can find help from above. Judas plotted and betrayed his Lord and Master with a kiss. But his Loving Master was not foreign to the serpent's hiss. His own soul must have had a rendezvous with a doomed destiny, as it vainly sought to make amends before his appointment with history. I have experienced on a much lower scale the push and pull of soul and spirit. And we, earth brothers of Adam, unless enlightened by Christ, will abide in misery. As flawed and fallen mortals, may we reach out to God as Satan lurks from the abyss. Notwithstanding, the war is not against Satan only, but also there's a 'clash of wills'. Nay, we often fuel the fires that both seal and steal our souls when we choose to walk in lies and treat ourselves with cheap thrills. 041522PSCtest, Soul Betrayal, Unseeking Seeker
