BETRAYAL AFTER BETRAYAL

Applause…applause for a magical dove transformed coming out from betrayal after betrayal Once - well that can happen Twice - hmm, wow, scratch the head Third time - you best get wise The scratch of a psychiatrist pen eyeing you under a microscope Jesus asked the man, by the pool of Bethesda, “Do you want to get well?” Too much serpent - scrupulously hands Eve an apple Too much dove - disadvantage unsettling The Bible advises: Be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove

"Be as wise as a serpent and as harmless as a dove" I would have a word other than wise for the serpent, but, with "harmless as a dove" I can totally agree...unless in the defense of self and innocent others. A thoughtful write. Makes one think...re-evaluate.
