Best Love of All

Love comes wrapped in golden packages Tied up with pretty ribbons, satin and velvety Among the sophisticated, among savages, In the lyrics of a song, expressed in poetry. To the very young and old, love is the gold As wonderful as a surprise birthday party, Love, theme of the greatest story ever told Sometimes weaky expressed, then hearty. A recipient is occasionally slow to respond, Fears long-held dreams too good to be true Love can be life’s most pure, intangible bond, The best love of all is between me and you. written April 7, 2022
