Goat and rabbit; There they sit. One named Blueberry; The other, Split. Seems these two Are now best buds. One eats carrots; The other chews cud. Blue’s the rabbit; Split’s the goat. The latter, free To roam and gloat. Caged, her buddy Cannot play So Split sits, Beside Blue, stays. Enjoy each other In the sun. On the farm, Life’s good, life’s fun.

A barrel of monkeys, Jeff. This write is so cute I could pinch its cheeks! ... If you've seen this before, that's ok. It's still a giggle: "A cow is of the bovine ilk // One end moo, the other milk." ~ Ogden Nash

That little goat is really special to me. She almost died and I managed to bring her back for my grandkids. Check out a poem called Old Goat. And I’m glad you liked it!

Wonderful metaphoric poem, Jeff. One gave up freedom to console the other who was incarcerated (so to speak). Interesting. Nice writing.
