Beneath the Sleeping Moon
BENEATH THE SLEEPING MOON
Walking 'neath the sky on a full moon night,
Wondering why it was glowing so bright,
Stars twinkle in the gleaming darkness,
Bells jingle with accurate sharpness,
A lone nightingale sings a sweet chorus,
Hooting owls flap their wings in restlessness,
Light from the moon casts fleeting shadows,
It's never too soon to scent a rose,
Wandering birds have now gone to their nest,
Lullaby words can be heard - time to rest.
