Belly Time
Our hearts were filled with joy,
when we found out it’s a boy.
We called everyone we knew,
as my wife’s belly grew.
The days begin to fly,
as the time was growing nigh.
I talked to my son at night,
through her belly with delight.
This special moment of mine,
I like to call it belly time.
Sang him songs and read him books,
as my wife gave me funny looks.
Crazy as it may sound,
my connection was profound.
Couldn’t wait for the day,
to hold and teach him to play.
This was my time with my son,
unborn but a lot of fun.
