Being Without You
I do not know how the rest of the days will be,
but I know they will be without you,
I do lovingly caress pillow beside me,
and shed tears at emptiness I see,
when I walk past memory lane near rose garden,
I feel my heart tug and feet harden,
when the rain thunders in, washes bedroom window,
still draw curtains so you wouldn’t know,
sometimes I sit in our garden swing, all alone,
and think of that shared icecream cone,
Lost love in life is such a deep grief to endure,
only time can heal, may slowly cure....
