Being Invisible

Invisible fingers—wiping sweat off my brow as I writhed with fever Invisible hands—packing my raincoat at the hint of nimbus Invisible lips—murmuring prayers for any minuscule endeavor Invisible eyes—scaring away evil shadows, the demons monstrous Visible pain in those eyes as she fell on the porch Visible linger in those hands, goodbye in the touch before the invisible soul starts to melt into vapor as I crouch. Sara, interesting write. It seems to be about an event(?) and the helplessness you felt not being able to save this person. Forgive me if I have interpreted this incorrectly. A wonderful poem. I would have loved to see it in the contest.

Thanks James. it could be for a mom or a nanny. People who care for us but are forgotten or ignored in the busy streams of lives and when you reach them it might be too late.
