Behind Closed Doors
Behind closed doors
Do you wonder what lies behind a door that's closed?
And are you curious about what might be exposed?
The door itself may give a clue as to what lies behind
What does a red door on a city street bring to mind?
Behind church doors the choir goes to pray and sing
But behind swinging doors do the patrons really swing?
And what goes on behind the green door who dares to say
For we all know that it’s not just a piano that they play
What’s behind a pantry door may reveal a personality
With precision rows and Tupperware suggesting OCD
Behind closet doors truth and skeletons are concealed
But when coming out of the closet secrets are revealed
Hotel doors are secured by codes and lock and key
And what happens behind is protected by confidentiality
Welcome Mr and Mrs Smith, I hope you enjoy your stay
Be assured we will not give you’re your secrets away
Pick a door any door, what lies behind concealed
If you choose to gamble your fate will be revealed.
Door one, two or three, be careful which you choose
For one has riches, but the other two, you lose!
We never truly know what lies behind closed doors
Would you want anyone to know if that door was yours?
The door that must be open is the door to your mind
Now that is a door that we should all take a look behind.
