Begetting Violence
Living in a world that has slowly gone mad
Child with a gun shot mom and dad
Life shouldn't be a bitter pill
Child shouldn't live with the urge to kill
World is shocked and reasons sought
Child's just doing what he's taught
Mom's shooting up just down the hall
Child's reaching out, no one hears his call
Dreams of days being hugged and kissed
Child now hides from an iron fist
Home should have been a happy place
Child sees bruises on his mother's face
Violence prevails far and near
Child shouldn't live in the face of fear
Hurting, screaming, feeling all alone
Child's just reaping what you have sown
Wiping the pain from his memory
Child has to struggle with his sanity
Drummer's drumming to a different beat
Child's face down in the city street.
