Before You
Before you I was a glass
searching for grains-
now in this timid life
only beauty remains.
After you I am passion
and marvel combined-
we have become one
since our stars aligned.
You are part of who I am, you see,
for there is none as delicate as me-
when the stars collide in crystalline,
I shall show you what love is to be seen.
Before you I was a rose
devoid of morn dew-
now all this heart dreams
of is only you.
After you I am a willow
no longer weeping-
not enough verses to write,
never enough sleeping.
You are the one I've dreamed of all my life,
now I am so grateful to be your loving wife-
when the crimson leaf falls onto the ground,
I shall bring you a silence with none around.
