Before the Rising Sun

This morning’s sky displayed a moon, A smiling crescent, opportune, With Venus hanging to the right, For photos of that lovely sight. I had no camera nor my phone So had to leave that view alone Except, of course, what stayed behind Within the confines of my mind. Now hours passed; the sky is blue With not a trace of what I knew Was obvious to everyone Outside before the rising sun.

It always feels like a "special gift" when we can see the moon during the day, especially a smiling crescent. As long as the memory lives in your heart, you will always remember this experience. Enjoyed! Best wishes, Carolyn

Well, I can picture the scene from your description, ilene... My wife said she saw the same thing you described here in Chicago. Moonlight and Stardust, Gershon

God’s glory displayed, replaced by the routine or more glory. Love this!
