Before the Change
My mind runs wild with fear
As i walk below a dark cloud
That follows me and interferes
With my excitement of the change
And then coming into the light
The night passes
Light shines through
And tranquility befalls me
I mourn the leaving of my home,
My safe haven,
My happy place
My family
My safe haven
Driven by anxiety, my mind creates a storm
Trying to resolve problems that dont exist
In a desperate attempt to fight the feeling
Of failure
The abnormality of it is real
And then the storm passes
After the damage is done
I think of his smile
Tranquility befalls me
I think of our home that we will have
Tranquility befalls me
I think of us making breakfast
Of staying in bed on a rainy winter's day
Of hugs and love
Of our children from God
And of the wonderful things waiting for us
That we know not of
And tranquility welcomes me
