I was thinking of the things
I’d ask God about
The worries and the dreams
Seas alive with feelings
Colored in hues of melancholy
Dread whispering to my heart
Listen to the fear, bend an ear
While I longed to hear the One
Who saved me by His Love,
His Son, the One who I base
My entire life on – King of Kings
Prince of Peace – The Savior
The One who I sincerely believe
I was just thinking of all the many things
I needed to ask my Father for
The little things like hope and peace
Much bigger things like faith and grace
I couldn’t think for the way I prayed
From my soul, my spirit, with my will
I prayed from with the most sincere
Love that I could have given, love
Filled with sincerity and serenity
Love that was alive with tenderness
Lifted my mind from its deepest grief
Raised my hopes from the mire of doubt
Shadowed my thoughts in praise that shouts
I just thought of all the things I needed to say
All the praying that my heart could pray
And there were answers calling to my heart
Answers that calmed and comforted, brought me
Peace that I couldn’t’ hope to have collected
Hope and joy – wonder that reassured me
Reminded me why I can always trust the presence
Of the Holy Spirit who is here to guide me
To abide with me even when I don’t do everything
In a way that agrees with Him… He still stays
Alive on the inside where He loves me like His child
Leaves me a hope that is beyond my wildest dreams
For grace that lights up the entire spirit
With a song, a psalm, a hymn… alive with Him
Filling me with praise and promise, prayers
That are answered before I even dare to breathe
With the hope that they might be satisfied for me
He answers my prayers before I even speak
He lights up my heart with the glory of a love
That warms my nature and brightens my soul
He is more alive to me than the whispers of my mind
Penetrating my every fiber with kindness, love
That is beyond my wondering, brighter than fire
Flowing through my dreams, wild as the wildest dance
Claiming my heart and soul, my worship for eternity
Because He is the One who makes my entire life worth it!
Listen to His love and praise God above
He is the answer to every need, the grace
That comforts, the joy that fulfills
The sweetness of a Savior who brings to me
All the hope, faith and love I’ll ever be needing!
With all my praise… I continue to pray
For the grace to meet each day, the love
To light the way so I can always say
Jesus is the One who I will always praise!
Isaiah 65:24 - King James Version
24 And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer; and while they are yet speaking, I will hear.
