Before God My Head
Before God My Head
While we grow older life starts to wane
Fewer and fewer days in it will remain
Before death occurs and to heaven go
Just like God Himself had told us all so.
Instead of living and getting by somehow
We should start planning here and now
And of our every entire life grab hold
I am told before we become quite old.
Right around corner and at road's bend
Of the road one day we will reach an end
And be thankful for all that God has done
In heaven, will meet master and Holy One.
Heaven to be is where we can hardly wait
To arrive after going through Golden Gate
Bridge into life that is eternal and infinite
Constantly in motion and will never quit.
We find ourselves finally willing to admit
In judgment seat is where God does sit
So even in the hereafter as well as now
Before God heads and bodies should bow.
