Constance's Nine Beautiful Lines Contest ~ April 1, 2025
There is something magical about the way a sunset can make us feel at peace, grateful, and alive all at once." ~ Morgan Harper Nichols. Alone, I sat quietly upon the bay's southern shore as sunset faded into twilight with a sense of languor Too soon, of the sun's warmth there would be no trace But until that moment, I would savour its embrace Sanguine skies, sea of blue, sunlight reflected in gold It was like a painting on canvas, one worthy to be sold From towering height of mountains to the rippling sea Nature was proudly exposing her glorious beauty to me Is it possible tomorrow morning's sunrise could be lovelier?
