Beautiful, Gentle and Fragile One
There within patches of baby blue so alone...
you float beautiful, gentle and fragile one;
then, someone who admired your beauty,
gave you this sweet, pretty name: butterfly!
Do you ever want or wish to come down
and stay a day to kiss lovely flowers...
instead of flying under those clouds,
searching for a mate 'till sundown?
Beautiful, gentle and fragile one...
lovers have a need for butterflies,
even more that a painter to draw a lively scene;
do we forget about children running on meadows?
These open hands can catch you
and not damage you a bit;
my tender care has no limit:
I will protect you all day through!
Beautiful, gentle and fragile one...
your days are short, only three seasons;
don't give us a reason for your sadness:
be our friend and make us smile!
