Beasts of Burden
Feelings,
like hidden facts,
are latent
rather than complementary
when suppressed and repressed by society,
that ecopolitical beast of enculturation's burden.
Glass ceilings,
like lowest denominator floors,
are hidden
rather than mutually transcendent
when oppression
is justified by sacrosanct tradition.
Trails,
like byzantine networks,
evaporate
rather than lead to resolutions
when pressed upon
those at home on other paths.
Wisdom,
like humor,
remains opaque
when impressed with its own hubris.
hoary beast of history's exegetical burden.
