Bear and Me - It's History
BEAR and ME
So, if you don’t know already
My surrogate Mum was my teddy
But she was just a big Bear
Who growled when real Mum wasn’t there
She had big shiny glass eyes and limbs that moved, and it seemed we both knew
That she could walk and sometimes talk
And if I turned her upside down she would sometimes talk her growl
Bear growls though is all that she said nothing more nothing less
She though was my best friend right up until the very end
When my so-called foster mother threw Bear into the coal fire
I cried and tried to rescue Bear but couldn’t get close enough to get her out of there
But Bear I remember you as you were always my clue
That I had a real Mummy Bear somewhere
Who was someone just like you
