Be Who You Really Are

Takes the heart of a lion to express your genuine roar.
            How easy it is, to go along simply to please
            the crowd.
            Be all smiles and jokes, with daisies but no
            significant sound.
            Telling the truth, no way, you are to afraid to 
            be ignored.

            We go through life just once, there is no second chance.
            You can make the world better, it is so profoundly
            needed ……you know?
            Conformists just bow to the government’s
            evil taxes and blows.
            Brave up now, fear no man,joyfully do your
            Independence dance!

I write my poetry my way and heed not some of these that demand I do it their way! An artist must be true to his/her own heart and soul. A gem and a fav my friend. Heavens, I have no wish to be a faceless nobody.Nor dare I name a poem style after me! Great way to destroy classical poetry. I have too much to learn in the classics. You don’t get many readers that way. Write as you do. ….do not sell out for a trophy…let others play that game. There is room for all. Love and respect. Panagiota xx

I Am Anaya June 25, 2023 at 11:12 AM A very courageous woman we all know is Opal Lee she did 100's of miles overall-walk at "89" in 2016 to recognize Juneteenth—Texas first state to make it a state holiday--a federal holiday. For one, I don’t like Tornographic poetry.I can’t use the real word. It is banned here.and I’d like to see less stress on comments and more on the actual writing of poetry. Many good, poets here. A fraction are not. And I do mean classical poetry. Most poetry these days is off the wall.IMHO.I am far from a good poet? 6/26. They drive for followers and acceptance is obvious, They are fearful to offend anyone. I ee that in poery here. Matters that count are not written about.and if they are politically incorrect, meaning not left or socialist, will be avoided. Conservative viewpoints are not welcome here .that’s a sorry state of affairs Love you. Pangie xx

I love to roar and cannot play groupie gamesmanship! I have said in other poems or in my comments, I do not Relish being a speed bump in life. It has taken courage for me to change things I can. It’s not easy.you will meet plenty of resistance. I am so glad I succeeded… I have made a difference on this planet. Thanks to God’s help. And there is more work to do..yes! Love Pangie
