Be Sure To Remember

Twas Thanksgiving and I was starving So all the turkey we started carving And when it was finally open wide We looked to see what was inside It was a message from my son Who said after Thanksgiving is done I'm not there and hope you understand Have been far away for year in Afghanistan You're lucky at home now get to stay While I am full of sorrow so far away And each time that turkey you do see Be sure to remember the death of me.
