Battle Scars The battle scars are deep and so the healing begins When you fight the good fight the light always wins Though the battle may seem as if it will never end And it’s all you can do is stand and defend Your soul from an enemy seeking to pull you down In a twisted lie of deceit he hopes you will drown And when you feel you can’t go on because the pain is so deep Remember you sow what you reap So stand tall and be still Wait, and while you heal allow for His will to prevail and follow his lead Because in truth it is only Him that you seek Wait to see what He has in store for your life It is a future full of peace and promise, not strife Look at the stars so high above Feel their beauty in your soul and feel his love Remember the struggle might seem long But He will never leave you for it is to Him you belong
