Baseball Dream

Spring is coming with green "fields of dreams" Stretching far in front of us We will drink in the warm weather And listen to the crowd Has something been lost in the game? Now that salaries are so stupendous? We can taste the reality of a new season We won't let anyone disturb our baseball dreams I'm not Hank Greenberg but I await the new season with anticipation Although they make more money than the President or Senators(and it's not right) when they march along the "Field of Dreams" - which was a damn good movie

yes baseball has changed, it is still a great game, but a lot of the baseball players care more about the money. back in the old days they did it for the love of it, not the money, because they were paid for little. this was a great write.

Yes, I get this absolutely and you must know that Field of Dreams is located in my home state, Iowa.(but I never got to see it except in the movie). I have very fond memories of baseball! My uncle played in a really good league. Hey, now please do me a favor Go back to "It's a Beautiful Thing" I had no idea people would not "get" what I was saying. Tell me if my little changes in verse two made a difference to you or not. I can tell that you and Linda did not get it at all. LUv, Andrea
