with bated breath
in the first few pages
you’ll realize this story is one
you know all too well
yet the book is narrated
by someone who has no clue
a rebel intrigued and mystified
compelled like a magnet to find answers
and you omniscient follow his journey
but it’s how it speaks to your heart
