What a beautiful Eagle, I never used to take much notice of them, not I that I saw many out of the Kruger park, but after Elias made me totally addicted to watching wild life Eagles were among them and I slowly learnt to identify them His favorite sighting in the park is to spot a Fish Eagle which is very similar to the Bald Eagle. Loved your poem Tom - congratulations my friend on a terrific win. Blessings, Jennifer.

The way I heard it, Thomas Jefferson wanted the dove to be our national bird as a symbol of peace. Ben Franklin wanted the turkey, but John Adams prevailed with the eagle. Love the way you did your etheree, Tom. This would be a tough form for many. Hope to see your poem at the top of the winners' list! Love, carolyn

G'day Tom … very descriptive of a beautiful bird. Here in Aus, Eagles are admired by many and despised by some farmers. On one occasion, I came across ten Eagles on a Kangaroo carcass and more were flying in - thank you Tom - Lindsay
