Bad Hair Day - So I Am Hitting the Bottle

I woke up this morning and my hair was such a mess Its grey roots are showing through - oh dear I must confess This lovely shade of titian red it really isn’t mine But when I get the colour on I just look so divine I open up the bottles and mix the liquids so The mixture smells disgusting; but then again I know Once I’ve hit the bottle and the mixture is all gone Grey hairs will be covered so I have to carry on My hair is dyed I cannot lie, but it makes me feel so great To eradicate the grey ones it’s really down to fate My mum went grey at an early age and dad he has hardly any left So if I couldn’t dye my hair at all I would be quite bereft Jan Allison 19th February 2014

Jan, first off, a 7 from me. I knew what you meant. NOT!!! I thought you might have been talking about a bottle of hairspray. I loved reading this. Well done. :O) Keep up with the great work. Keep on penning. Thank you so very much for sharing your wonderful and creative talents with us. We all truly appreciate it. *S* Cynthia

I love to be creative with my titles Cynthia - the funny thing is I rarely drink alcohol - I have about 12 units a year lol:-) Hugs Jan xx

Jan Such a creative and fun write. Getting gray hair or wrinkles is just a sign of aging wisdom. LOL Thank you for the nice comment on my Dream Crusher poem.

I liked this poem - it was full of humour. I too dye my hair so I know how nice it is to get rid of the greys. Best wishes Linda

I was also tempted by the bottle...the one in the title. Figured it must have been a wicked awful hair day if it sent you to it. Nice bit of tongue in cheek humor. Thanks for the chuckle.

I see you are hitting a different kind of bottle. I'm getting a little gray now, but I refuse to use Just For Men. Enjoyed the write.

Many thanks Robert for the lovely feedback. I am almost teetotal so the title really made me smile when I created it. I love men with greying hair so don't reach for the bottle just yet! Jan x

Like tim, I too was drawn by this title. Very clever one. I dye my hair red/brown color and love it. sTreaked with some blonde!! I just hate when the greys show. Maybe in ten years it will be all grey, UGGGG
