Back In the Day
“Ecclesiastes 7:15 - New American Standard Bible”
I have seen everything during my lifetime of futility; there is a righteous
man who perishes in his righteousness; and, there is a wicked man who
prolongs his life in his wickedness”.
BACK IN THE DAY
I so remember back in the day where religion was ever so staunch
Over condemning religious advisers; from the pulpits would launch
Into a tirade of unholy vehement speech, that left us all so fearing
Who in their own narcissism spat out, with their rigorous sneering
Who’s over dictation; left church parishioners, as coming from hell
With their own over righteousness brought a deserved death knell
Who went out into life being so-called righteous, picking on others
Whether that be your own father, mother or, sisters and brothers
Who are so seemly blind; to their own remarks, at others expense
As to create a battle of words as one answers in their own defence
Has life taught you nothing that you can’t even see your own crime
Whose teaching has left you ignorant; and just so wrongly sublime
May I make a suggestion that you stick your bible up your own a..e
As I'm finding your biblical moral learning code; a total & utter farce
“To some righteous bigot who got up my nose” . . .
