Awakening Thoughts
Awakening Thoughts
Written: by Tom Wright

As nightfall, has approached its time of resting,
I ponder thoughts, once found to be nesting.
A new dawn, suddenly has become attractive,
And thoughts once languid now are active;
Just as daybreak, reduces darkness to naught,
Any disturbance disrupts my train of thought.
Thoughts crawl back to their place of bloom,
Dispersing, if dissonance, moves into the room;
Thoughts are able to subdue reality for awhile,
Sometimes chasing a frown or inducing a smile.
In the dinginess of morning God has my attention,
I count my blessings too innumerable to mention.
