Avoiding Stress

Avoiding Stress When consumed by lots of stresses And time inevitably presses. The lesson to be learned I guess is, And prevent doing more than less is, Avoid too often the use of “yess’s”. For those who learn the use of ‘no’, In confidence will surely grow. And when asked to do ‘so and so’ And are told, ‘it will only take a mo …..,’ Will have the assurance to just say, ‘No.’ Barry Stebbings 11/01/2016

I enjoyed your monorhyme, it was amusing and clever in its content and delivery. I also grinned at your philosophy for mine in not that simple, my stresses don't allow for yes or no. However, I know people who would benfit from your advise, it is with application. Seriously, an enjoyable read, Barry ... CayCay

The mind as well as the body can carry only so much stress. Saying no is not a sin nor does it show neglect or selfishness, nor does it require an apology. Enjoyed your poem and thank you for stopping by to read me. Best to you. / M

Right on. So often I say yes just because I find it hard to say No. Then I find I have less and less time for me and the things I should be doing because I'm too busy doing "favors". Great job. Just say No. God Bless, JB
