Along a winding lane of glowing orange
leaves, I leisurely strolled.
Thinking of years past, which, like a sudden,
strong wind, blew in cyclonic tunnels away.
Walking on crunchy leaves, I pondered my
virtues and daunting human failings.
In the stillness of that autumn morning dew,
hugged by loving trees that were encircling me.
Knowing that in God's hands, I was created
to follow all His laws, to live with angelic joy.
The crunchy concerto of heavenly, colorful leaves
beneath my warm, thankful, booted feet.
~I longed for the day, the face of my God to see! ~
