The amber light of Autumn filters through
From soft and crimson sky rising prior
To kiss the umber leaves that say adieu
And share morning light with my desire
As saffron leaves die in brown attire
I will breathe the chilled Autumn air content
And know the season's change is evident
As ginger colored wings of birds subdue
And they fly south as a signifier
When pumpkin colored skies turn midnight blue
And dawns of cinnamon thread light fire
The splayed morning gray will soon expire
The chill of Autumn comes as leaves are spent
And Winter winds begin their cold ascent
