Autumn Romance
CRIMSON and medallion
fall to the ground.
Crisp morning breeze
makes a delicate sound.
Sadness is lost and now
amber passion is found,
the pumpkin patch romance
is definitely here-
LOVE is in the AUTUMN air
with no one else around.
Warm apple cider
with a corn field maze,
walking hand and hand,
for true love always stays.
She carries so much grace,
she always seems to AMAZE
his gentle heart when
life shows its sorrow-
He shall stay by her side
for ALL of his days.
Constant companion when
ruby leaves arrive.
She is just so grateful
for this love to be alive.
AUTUMN twenty years
ago this marriage did derive,
and since the first glance
they’ve fallen in deep-
It’s nothing but AFFECTION
that always does survive.
There’s just something about
AUTUMN that fulfills a heart.
Since that night of the harvest moon
they never did part.
The stars came brisk as the
bountiful days did start
with emotions of DEVOTION
while roses all withered-
they vowed that their fondness
shall NEVER fall apart.
Now the days of ease CONQUER
all heartache and pain,
while alluring tangerine ways
are all that remain.
As they stroll together
down MEMORY lane,
there’s one thing they
shall remember for sure-
Love is in the AUTUMN air...
for them to tenderly sustain.
