Autumn Reveries

Autumn spills over
In waterfalls of scarlet,
Golden cascades flow,
Umber symphonies tumble
With magenta fantasies.

This is a lovely tanks and i love the choice of words and metaphor you have used here.. How coincidental, I posted a poem today where I used the word scarlet waterfalls also... love the imagery you have created and i think your poem will do very well in the contest..

Hi SO! Well, great minds are at it again! Your poems always leave me breathless with awe and a desire to think more deeply and raise the bar. This poem was inspired by a picture my husband took of a waterfall garden in OR in the fall. I used it on the cover of one of my poetry books - From a Woman's Soul. Even though I love all the seasons, fall has a special ability to inspire me with its color and texture and life metaphors. Hope you are well! Blessings of health and happiness!!

Beautiful use of autumnal colours to create imagery. I absolutely love your choice of colours and also how beautifully it flows. Be it tanka or another form, you always nail it. Your way with expressing and describing things is so artistic. You definitely have a very artistic soul. I love especially the lines “ waterfalls of scarlet,“ and also “ Umber symphonies tumble“ lovely! Im sure this will do very well in the contest. Always enjoy reading your work. Goodluck.
