Autumn Reminiscence

It is early autumn and to tropics geese fly over head Maple leaves turn beautiful red Beautiful yet a little sad Because autumn is the time when we remember the dead This is time when we ponder meaning of life When we think about both happiness and strife Sometimes our reminiscence cuts through our soul like a knife But sometimes it is the very essence of life A young girl picks up a red maple leaf as part Of her project for school art No where beauty has more fertile ground then in young girls’ heart But the heart blooms only once before the soul will depart Time and meaning of life complex question is What would be such a question from point of view of abyss? And would answering it bring hope and bliss Maybe but for now answer is hidden in autumn wind’s vibrant kiss
